Shame on You

Last week my K9 mate Tommy and I visited my Mum at Tweed Heads near Queensland boarder.
I had not seen my Mum since she moved there last year and I also wanted to see if her house was accessible for her and me to visit.
Mum lives in a retirement village with small shopping centre just accross the the street.
The village was very nice and friendly people in the Village. The Sunshine was great but 99% humidity I can do without.

I took my 86 year old Mum over to go food shopping and the only wheelchair accessible parking spot was taken by a builders van with a tradie leaning on the door of the van with his mobile phone stuck to his head. I called out and explained I was in a wheelchair and he was illegally parked in a Disabled Parking Spot and would he mine moving it please.

He turned to me said “I don’t have the keys” and turned his back on me.
I let Mum out and waited for this guy thinking he may do the right thing and move.
He came back and forth several times only to load his van.

It amases me that no matter where I go I can’t believe people like this are still around.

Don’t people realise wheelchair parking is wider for a reason as well as a person with a disabled has to pay a parking permit fee for the privilege!!!
I refused to allow the inconsiderate action of these sorts of individuals to destroy what was a good break away and actually loved the 10 hour country drive.

Was a nice place to visit but with climate change Sydney is looking better all the time.

In saying that, I was greeted at home from the aftermath of the Hail Storm that hit Sydney while I was away.

Life is give and take and it’s a shame there are not more givers than takers!
